The maps show Porth Harbour in 2000 and the subsequent modifications made. Overall, the harbour now accommodates more boats and offers additional facilities.
In 2000, Main Rd. runs from north to south on the far west side. At the northern end of the road, there are restrooms and a parking lot. To the east of these amenities are moorings for private yachts, a dock for passenger vessels, and a public beach. Further south along Main Rd., there is a road branching to the east. The western end features a parking lot, with berthing space for fishermen’s boats to its east, followed by a lifeboat station. In the southwest part of the map, an unused castle and a public beach can be found.
In terms of changes, the private yacht and fishing boat areas have been swapped, and an additional dock for passenger vessels has been constructed. Further south, the southernmost parking lot can now be accessed from Main Rd., and restrooms have been added. Moving east, a café and shops have been established. In the southeast corner, the castle has been transformed into a hotel, and the nearby beach is now exclusive to hotel guests.
